Logan Central Respite Centre

Logan Central Respite Centre is a charitable entity that aims to achieve high quality flexible respite services.

The organisation is funded jointly by the Federal Government Commonwealth Home Support Program (Dept of Health) which supports frail older people with functional limitations to live safely and independently and the State Government Dept of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors.

Our Queensland-funded Community Care Program is directed towards assisting people under 65 years of age who have a condition that restricts their ability to carry out activities of daily living and LCRC is supported by Logan City Council who played a vital role in the construction of the building on Council land and continue to support us with the maintenance of the building.

The Respite Centre offers  flexible respite and support to:

  • Frail aged individuals
  • Younger individuals with a disability
  • Veterans under 65 years
  • People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
  • People with dementia
  • Financially disadvantaged people
  • Socially isolated people
  • Carers of the above

Each client is individually assessed in their home prior to commencement. The offer of respite depends upon the needs of the client/carer and the ability of the Centre to offer appropriate care.
